Blessing

Being blessed is having a best friend that knows just when you need flowers...so he sends them. Being blessed is a having a father who puts his kids and time with them at the top of their list. As well as being a role model for them to look up. Being is having a husband that knows when you have had a long day and sends you to take a bath while he puts the kids to bed. Being blessed is being married to my man...and I am blessed.

I got these Monday...aren't they gorgeous! He so knows when to send flowers.

Making Cookies

In all my "Martha Stewartness" yesterday I pulled out the roll of refrigerated cookie dough and we spent a whopping 15 minutes preparing cookies....they tasted just as good as homemade. They were made at home so that should make them homemade.

Capturing My "S's"

Rody was out sick on Sunday and John our youth pastor preached. Part of his illustration was taking pictures of himself to capture his "essence". Yesterday David grabs my camera and is taking pics of himself. "What are you doing?" I ask. "I am capturing my S's" he replied! ;-)

Just Like Dad

I'm playing catch up on my blogging. David is on a kick that EVERYTHING has to be like dad's. I think it is awesome. Dad has a DayTimer...so D needs one. Dad puts his computer, DayTimer, bible, wallet and pad in his backpack...so D does too. Dad wears jeans, work boots and either long or short sleeve shirt...so D does too. Well after getting to go witnessing with dad on Tuesday, Dad also let him go to work with him on Wed morning. I didn't realize they had the same shirts but thought this was awesome. DayTimer...$1 from dollar store. Laptop...stolen from Kyra. Bible...given as gift from Dad & Mom. Getting to hang out with your dad and be just like him...PRICELESS

Mouthful

Do you ever open God's word and after reading a few verses (not even a whole chapter) you are stuffed full? Rody is working to memorize the book of Ephesians, so I determined to read it through several times while he is doing that. Look how stuffed the first 9 verses are...
1. We are blessed with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenlay places
2. We are chosen....since the foundation of the world (WOW--He chose me knowing how disobedient and rebellious my heart was...I am truly humbled)
3. I am to be holy & without blame in love
4. I am adopted never to be put away
5. Twice it says "according to the good pleasure of his will"
6. I am accepted....by the most important person that exists
7. I am redeemed
8. I am forgiven (thank you Jesus)
9. He has given me wisdom and prudence ( I need LOTS of that)
10. He reaveals the mystery of His will

Wow--open the word today, taste and see that He is good..you will be full I promise. Love you and have a glorious day!

Great Day

Do you ever have one of those days where everything just falls together? God was so gracious to give me one of those days yeterday. Woke up early (on spring break even) had an incredible time with the Lord in His word, worked out and then we cleaned the house (with Kyra more than willing to lend a helping hand). We got lunch ready for Rody to come home, the little ones napped while I worked. We topped off a gorgeous day with friends over for dinner. We got to spend some time with missionaries from Niger who have become very special friends. You know God continues to reveal to me that this life is so short and eternity is so long, so those friendships we long to create depth in...well some just have to wait until heaven.

Our Little Cowboy

I know...I have been on a hiatus. Not really...just had the head junk and so there haven't been real early mornings which is when I typically blog. Here is David last night as we had "Cowboy" night at Awanas. Kyra went to Awanas with our neighbor at her church b/c they were having "Glow in the Dark Night." D looked so cute. He is growing up so fast. We will probably start "officially" working on school later this spring and summer as he has an intense desire to read. He can sound out words and just amazes me with what he already knows. I'm thinking we will be on 1st grade material around Christmas b/c he has just picked up so much from listening to Kyra. How many four year olds can tell you what a noun is? He wants to do math too--that is the one subject he will always sit down with us and already knows his coins and their value. Smart little booger that takes after his daddy...

Sistas

It has been so fun lately to watch the two girls interact. Actually I love watching the relationships, though different, bloom and grow between all of them. Katie was so sweet yesterday as Kyra was sick she wanted to be right there helping her and she would pat her on the back and just hug on her. But they love to play together and just be together. Thank you Lord for the blessing of girls.

You Know You Are a Mom When...

You know you are a mom when 90% of your day is spent here...No it is not the actual potty in our home but one of Katie's babies. But this is where we have spent most of our day. Our day started off with Kyra being sick and puking her guts up...sorry so graphic, but if you ever saw this kid get sick, she could win an award for it.

Then little Katie Bug is getting ready to potty train..we have gone in the potty once, but everytime after she wets in her diaper we have to run to the potty. :-) Which has been about 50 times today or every 10 minutes...just about the time you get something started. I LOVE potty training. :-) Oh we even made up a song...Granny whistles but we sing (to the tune of Lollipop (OOOLLLLDDD song) Little poop, little poop...haha

So what did you do today?
